The three original posts relative to my short stint as CEO of Integral Institute and personal clash with Ken Wilber have been deleted. They are no longer relevant. My original post Vince Horn's blog remains available for those interested in the historical detail. This article in Integral Leadership Review might also be of interest.
I was led to Ken Wilber's work through the work of Don Beck. Dr. Beck was interviewed by Falling Fruit and offers important commentary on leadership.

Help

Steve,
My intellectual mind devoured your first few blog posts. I am deeply, deeply devoted to trying to live with Intgeral consciousness, and I welcomed your frank potrayal of your experiences with I-I. Your insights and information added to my developing understanding of Ken's vision and involvment with I-I. As a passionate follower of Ken's work I always try to absorb new information about it, and take it all on board, process it, and readjust my 'map' accordingly. Your posts have definitely made some changes to my map, and I welcome it with open arms.
My heart embraced your final post. Well said sir, and thank you for writing it. Both/and, what a phrase! Wonderful, beautiful… Integral!
Thanks, Steve – Integral is us/AQAL, yes?
Durwin
Integral is as Integral does
“Take Ken's books, read them, and use the map towards your work in the world. Do it yourself. Do it now.”
exactly. still doing it. will be doing it. and thanks for the reminder. people forget that we often project greatness and infallibility on others most of the time too.
but as Huy said:
…“Integral is a real thing.” What we mean by this is that Integral consciousness is real, and it's not necessary for Ken or I-I to be around for it to exist. Ken has brilliantly articulated the Integral vision, but it's alive in each and every one of us. So let's all work together, constructively, to help bring this gift to a world that desperately needs it.”
exactly.

Right on!
Huy says it beautifully.
thanks for your honesty and being willing to let it go. that can be so challenging. this is still all so bewildering new to me - I only heard of integral shortly before joining zaadz in late september and there has been so much so much that it's hard to know what to think at times… but i really like what Huy has to say too, it's so balanced and caring. all the best in your continuing journey! love, nicole
“This is my final post relative to anything I-I or Ken Wilber. ” -> it takes time to work through such relationship, with a man, with an institution, with a job, with a dream! This all put together is a lot! We all need to separate at one moment. And the one who separates is often looked at as a traitor! - even if he's beeing separated!
But separation is a blessing, 'cause it's true internal work, and for that, the law of silence is internal work's worst ennemy. Now the medium - blog or anything else - on which it is done, well, that can be argued.
As for me, I think the most important thing is that inner work happens. I've gone through such a process, and it took me 4 years to separate from my Guru. But I believe it was part of the learning. He taught me, but did not taught me how to separate from him! I was alone on that one…but I believe that's when true growth started!
Whatever may be the way, blessings to you
patrick. very wise words - i believe too that we need to separate from our guru or teacher to grow further. congrats to you both for being successful in it. it's one aspect of zaadz that concerns me, this preoccupation of so many with andrew or ken or some other guru. we've discussed it more than enough in the wie pod though and i've had my fill with that discussion.
but on the other hand, it's all a journey isn't it, and time with a guru can be fruitful, hopefully just a stage to be grown out of in a little while…
love
nicole
Luckily I never considered Ken my Guru or even teacher. I just worked for him. So the seperation isn't that hard. For those that do find themselves in that poistion, I wish them best on their journey!
Blessings!
